Taking Care of Your New Lawn

Water 2–3 times daily for the first 2–2.5 weeks. Keep the mulch lightly damp, avoiding puddles. After the first mowing, reduce to once daily.

Wait until grass reaches 3 inches before mowing. Use a sharp blade and never remove more than 1/3 of the height. Leave clippings as mulch during initial mowings.

We apply an initial fertilizer rich in potassium. At 4 weeks, use a nitrogen-rich fertilizer. Avoid fertilizing too early to prevent burning. Continue fertilizing every 6–8 weeks.

Avoid chemical weed control for the first 3 months. Some weeds may appear, but your grass will outgrow them. Use a weed & feed product only after proper lawn establishment.
